WID Resources for People with Disabilities in Emergencies & Disasters
The rights of people with disabilities do not disappear in times of crisis. While disasters, emergencies, and other crisis scenarios often require sacrifices, the rights and lives of disabled people do not need to be one of them.
Access to resources in a disaster is especially important for people with disabilities, who are disproportionately impacted by emergencies and disasters. Here are some resources we recommend for people with disabilities, organizations, and emergency planning and response managers:
